BLING - Balenciaga S/S '13

(Balenciaga Spring 2013)

Nicolas Ghesquière for Balenciaga has always been one of the highlights of the Paris Fashion Week.  A major influence on the next seasonal trend, he has mastered the art of re-interpreting the heritage brand in a sleek modern way.

Here's a perfect example: gorgeous high shine gold 5 finger rings seen on models.  I love the simplicity of the bands randomly stacked.  A trend ready to be seen in the upcoming year on fashion insiders and blogger!

OUTFIT DU JOUR - Entry/Exit

I just spent the whole afternoon at the Shanghai Entry/Exit Bureau just to be told that I will not be able to enter China after my upcoming trip to Bali without a new visa.  So what's my problem you might ask?

First off, I'm leaving in 3 days so that's not a lot of time to figure out a plan B.  Second, I'll be stranded in HK by myself until a new visa can be issue, which is not so bad for me but really  for hubby to be stuck with Ayden until I get back.  Obviously, not to mention the temptation to buy (what else is there to do while in HK?) when I'm on a band for shopping!

And there's nothing I hate more than strictly window shopping!!!

Tunic dress - Zara; Purse - Chanel; Sandals - Sergio Rossi; Necklace - H&M; Watch - Swiss Legend; Bracelet - Club Monaco; Ring - Kenneth Jay Lane; Belt - Barbara Bui

MAIN EVENT - Moves Like Jagger

I got to say, front row tickets kickass!  We were so close to Adam Levine that I was able to see his tattoos!!!  And needless to say, we all standing up with our glow sticks in the air and singing (actually, more like screaming) with him!

My only disappointment is (and I still cannot believe why he didn't) that he didn't take his shirt off!?!  Oh well, at least, he "Moves like Jagger"!

SHOPPING - Peacock

(Winter Kate Esha dress)

I feel ashamed of myself...I promised hubby that I wouldn't buy any clothing (except maternity pieces) until I give birth.  Don't ask, I'm not even sure why I promised such thing.  But I did, just last week and here I am, barely a few days later, clicking "place order" on Hautelook.com!  Do I not have any discipline?!?

Well, apparently not when it comes to a good bargain!  Gorgeous peacock blue vintage silk Winter Kate tunic dress with bell sleeves and open back.  And it was in my size, in my shopping cart, at 70% off...how can I say "no"?

OBSESSION DU JOUR - Kitty Cap

(Eugenia Kim)

(Topshop)

(River Island)

The weather in Shanghai is still in the hight-twenties (27° C today), but I'm finding myself online shopping for fall/winter.  I know, I know...it's barely cool enough for me to wear a long-sleeve t-shirt so why am I looking a wool beanies???

Because they are wool beanies with kitty ears!!!  How cute is that?!?  Ok, trust me, I'm not at all into Hello Kitty!  But in my opinion (and maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think so...), I think I can pull this look off with a bad-ass leather jacket and moto boots.

Yup, it's decided, I need a kitty beanie cap!

VERSACE S/S '13

(Versace Spring 2013)

Is it me or this has to be the best Versace collection Miss Donatella has put out yet?!?  I'm in love with the sensuality and the bohemian spirit of the pieces, especially the semi-nudity with strategic lace and slits on skirts and dresses!  Beautiful ombre colours with discrete signature lion head prints, slashed nude lace, gold fringe & studs and the sexiest shoes ever!

Best Street Style

Fashionista in the making: Alexander Wang's niece attending his S/S '13 show.  And she already has that blasé attitude!!!

Noticed her black dress?  It has the same detailing at the neckline as AWang's Spring 2013 dresses!  Without a doubt, the best and cutest street style of he Fashion Weeks!

SHOE PORN - Alexander Wang

(Alexander Wang Spring 2013)

The hottest shoe of next season: Alexander Wang's neo-gladiator sandals.  Sleek, modern and simply show-stopping!

Oui, je le veux!  In size 36 1/2 please!  Hey, a girl can never own too many pairs of shoes!!!

SHOPPING - Burberry Prorsum Creeper

(Miroslava Duma)

Since last fall, I've been admiring the Burberry Prorsum Creeper wedge pumps in olive green & black.  With utilitarian gripped rubber sole and lace-up oxford style, these seemed so versatile!  But it wasn't until I saw this picture of Miss Duma last november, with one foot in a different colour of the same shoe (talk about fashion at any expense!), that I became obsessed!

Finally, now they are mine!!!  I've been checking almost on a daily basis if anyone returned the size 37, which were sold out on Outnet.com for the past month and half (well, since they received them)!  And, what Janet wants, Janet gets...at 1/2 price!!!

OUTFIT DU JOUR - Courtside

Another day of nothing but running around town to get errands done (Obgyn checkup, call vendors for upcoming party, pick up takeout for hubby, pick up Ayden from daycare, etc...).  I think it's about time for me to get myself un-lazy and apply for my driver licence here in China!  This metro-bus-taxi thing is getting a little unpractical.

Cardiwrap - BCBG; Tank - A&F; Shorts - I.T; Bag - Hermes (borrowed from mom); Runners - I.T; Cap - Diesel (borrowed from hubby) Knuckle ring - Dominic Jones; Bracelet - Club Monaco; Necklace - H&M; Quark ring - Hermes; Watch - Hermes

RODARTE S/S '13

(Rodarte Spring 2013)

The London Fashion Week is usually fairly short (compared to NY and Paris) but impactful.  Let's just look at one of my favourite design team, the Mulleavy sisters' collection: Rodarte.  "Medieval and fantasy role-playing games" was their inspiration, and although I can't stand watching hubby play those games on his PS3, I got to say it translates perfectly on the runway!

Happy 5th Anniversary Baby!

I was just at a bachelorette party last night (and it was amazing...we had a "A&F boy" theme for the soon-to-be-bride, so lots of gorgeous topless Brazilian models for our private venue!!!  sorry, can't share any pictures with you!).

And today, I'm already celebrating our 5 year wedding anniversary!  I can barely believe that it was already been half a decade!!!  Hubby surprised me with brunch at the Peninsula (our favourite sunday brunch spot) followed by a special dessert!  Oh yeah, the waffle with fresh berries and cream was delicious...but I'm talking about the Hermes Quark ring!!!  I love the bold yet minimalist shape, I love the super shinny silver with orange and mostly, I love that he spent so much effort picking this up himself!  THANK YOU BABE!

Oh yeah, and this is what I got him: a LV Long Wallet in Taiga leather Glacier colour.  Nothing fancy, just very practical for all the bills we carry around in China!

And I got it engraved: H.L for the nick name my two god-daughters gave him - Hungry Lung (obviously because he's always hungry)!  Hum....maybe that's why he's in the restaurant business?!?
